Hong kong science park green tech cluster   | hong kong

Analysis of Hong Kong and the larger PRD Regional Economy in relationship to the new “Green” Economy focused on environmental industries. Provided recommendations regarding the creation of a research and development cluster at the existing Hong Kong Science Park.

A separate study was also conducted for this client: an Economic Benefit Analysis of the Park's Phase 3 Expansion. Scope was to provide insight on the development of HK innovation and technology industry. Conducted a series of interviews with hi-tech companies (in-site, locally, & abroad) and in-depth market research. Based on the R&D space forecast for HK over the next 20 years, reviewed the current positioning and development mix. Identified, estimated and quantified the tangible (value added to GDP and new employments) and intangible social and economic benefits (HK’s competitiveness and hi-tech image) brought by the development. Opportunity costs were also assessed if the project were not to proceed.
