ADNOC Petroleum Institute campus planning   | abu dhabi

This project involved campus planning for the expansion and upgrading of a small, existing university focused on petroleum related exploration, petrochemical production, and refining activities. Then called the ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) Petroleum Institute, it has since become part of Khalifa University as the SAN (Sas Al Nahkal) Campus. More information on the institution can be found here.

Scope included building condition and site analysis, space needs assessment, projections of future enrollment and faculty, projections of future space needs, programming for future buildings, and physical planning of buildings, infrastructure, and landscape. The work took into account a number of local considerations related to climate and culture.

Brian Jennett led the physical planning effort while a Senior Consultant in Real Estate at HOK.
